Introducing
Aditi Gangwani
Some stories begin with a business plan. Banaav began with crayons.
As a child, Aditi Gangwani found a canvas in everything around her. From doodling on walls to tracing textures on car seat covers and filling notebooks with patterns, she was endlessly curious about colours, fabrics, and the little details that often went unnoticed. To her, textiles were never just materials—they were stories waiting to be told.
That curiosity led her to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Textile Design from NIFT Kolkata, followed by an Associate degree in Surface Design from FIT, New York. While her education refined her craft, it never changed the heart behind it: a love for creating things that make people smile.
Her affection for children and their wonderfully imaginative world inspired the next chapter. She wanted to design products that weren't just useful, but joyful—pieces that could become part of childhood memories, travel adventures, bedtime routines, celebrations, and everyday moments.
And that's how Banaav was born.
Today, every print, every colour palette, and every personalised detail is thoughtfully created with the same childlike wonder that first inspired her years ago. For Aditi, textiles have become a language—a way of communicating warmth, creativity, and love with families around the world.
At Banaav, we believe childhood deserves to be colourful, personal, and beautifully made—one thoughtful creation at a time.
